About Us...
After spending some years in downtown Castle Rock in a cottage house, Colours experienced some growing pains; a much wider audience was needed for this gorgeous shop. A storefront building in Historic Downtown Littleton was the targeted area and in April of 2009 the dream became a reality. Our shop has an open feel with plenty of room to display all of our products. Our customers make regular stops because Colours has affordable new merchandise continually arriving and customers regularly compliment us on our aesthetically-pleasing, ever-changing room arrangements.
Another aspect of our business is to provide beautiful things for our customers at affordable prices! Often our customers mention how reasonably priced our store is for the quality & style, thus our catch phrase - "We Just Look Expensive!"-
can be seen on our front door. Many customers come up to us and thank us for being so affordable.
Mary has been an interior designer for over 25 years and enjoys being the shop owner. She has a passion for custom art and it is reflected throughout the shop, in a gallery setting. She hand picks the beautiful frames to compliment the distinctive art. Mary's design touch can be seen in many Colorado businesses and homes.
Local artisan businesses are part of the shop, as well. The metalworks we have by The Tin Lady are a wonderful compliment to your home. With coat hooks made with door knobs, chalkboards, wall hangings and furniture with faux painted metal accents - you're sure to find a unique piece. One of our newest artisan additions are our Sacs-a-Phones. Local artisans, Ginny and Barb were wedding gown designers and they have since began designing small bags to hold your cell phones. They come in a variety of colors and are quite charming!
During the fall season, we welcome back our line of Pumpkinz by local artisans! They are made with designer fabrics and real pumpkin stems.
Our Littleton shop will always be scented with wonderful candles and diffusers. We carry the Legacy Candle by Root line which is over a century old. Many customers return often to purchase more of our lovely candle selection. Feel free to come into the shop and smell all of the different scents of candles. Our shop is always seasonably decorated for holidays.
In the recent past, Mary was voted the Best of the Best Designers of the Castle Rock area and she won an award for being a savvy business woman.
